Our mind, body and spirit are connected and when one is out of balance, it can can cause the others to weaken. Spiritual health is all about finding purpose in this world and meaning in your life. This purpose effects you and the others around you. It's about self discovery and finding your most authentic self. Everyone on of us is different and what may work for someone may not work for another. Here are 7 Spiritual Keays2Wellness
1) Meditation I'm sure you have all heard this before but are you doing it daily or even weekly? Even if you take 10 minutes in the morning before you get ready, during your lunch break or before you go to sleep, it can make a difference. It is key that you devote time to connecting with yourself, spirit or the God of your understanding. If you have no idea how to meditate you can find videos on youtube, meditation music on spotify or search online for classes. Try doing Chakra meditation to balance the energy through your body. Include crystals and essential oils in your daily routine to increase your spiritual vibration. Sometimes we need to let it all out! A great activity is to clear all the mind clutter by writing it down. Consider writing down your thoughts at the end of the day which will help you relax. It's like throwing out the garbage and if you don't throw it out it will stink up the place! 3) Exercise/Yoga Okay...so I've never been a huge fan of yoga, but there are different forms which are incredibly relaxing like Yoga Nidra. Yoga also connects your physical health to your spiritual health. It can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, boost the immune system and help you release your emotions. Getting some sort of exercise, even if its a 20 minute workout on youtube to begin, it's better than sitting on the couch. Go for a walk, go biking, hit the gym or do home workouts. Your mind, body and soul will thank you! 4) Positive Manifestation and forgiveness It's so easy to have negative thoughts, either about other people or ourselves. When you learn to let go and forgive it enlightens your spiritual growth. Start thinking outside the box in situations which make you angry or upset. I know this might be difficult for people who suffer from depression and anxiety, however there are great exercises you can do to improve your wellness. For instance a negative experience occurs with a friend, family member or coworker. Instead of being vengeful, realize that you are better than them and by reaking revenge you are poisoning yourself. As tough as it is to acknowledge, you had to go through what you went through in order to get where you are today, or where you are going. The universe works in mysterious ways and believe me when you put out positive vibes, words and thoughts into the universe, this will manifest your desires. I suggest making a Vision Board to help you focus on the positive thoughts you want to come to life! 5) Go Offline Sometimes we need a break from social media and our lives. It's okay to take time for yourself and re-energize. Turn off your phone and any other electronic distractions so you can focus on you. Our alone time is key to releasing the noise and stress of the day. Do something therapeutic in that time such as; meditating, yoga, painting, baking or a hobbie. 6) Helping Hands There is nothing more spiritually enlightening than helping others. It can be a neighbour, friend, partner, family or a stranger walking down the street. Support someone else on their journey because it warms your heart! You will feel a sense of pride and love which will feed your soul. Spend your time wisely and do what feeds your purpose and fuels your passion. Over time you will improve your spiritual wellness. 7) Nature & Essential oils Connecting with nature is something most don't get to do often. We are all in the hustle and bustle of the day. Simply putting your feet in the grass connects you with the earth and grounds your spirit. The earth is full of energy and connecting with it nourishes your body, mind and soul. So instead of sitting inside drinking your coffee in the morning, or binging netflix at night, try to go outside for a few minutes and put your bare feet on the earth. Go for a weekly walk on a trail and get outside! The interaction with nature restores a sense of peace and spiritual awakening!
